Add your details

Use a number you own. You can also enter the full number with + and country code. Test the finished link: we cannot check if the number is on WhatsApp.

62/500 characters. Customers can edit this before sending. Keep it short so the QR code is easy to scan.

Where will you use the link or QR code?

Example: HELLO becomes HELLO-IG for Instagram and HELLO-SHOP for your shop. Customers can see and change this text.

We do not save what you type here. Your downloaded files will contain the number and message.

02

Copy or download

Your links and QR codes will appear here.

Add your number, choose where you will use it and select Create. You will get one link and QR code for each place.

EXAMPLE MESSAGE

“Hi! Can you share your catalogue?
Ref: HELLO-SHOP”

USE IT IN THREE PLACES

Make each chat easier to understand.

1

Instagram

Copy the IG link into your Instagram profile. The ready-made message can include HELLO-IG.

2

Shop or packaging

Print the SHOP or PACK QR code on a counter sign or package. Scan a test print before making more copies.

3

When someone writes

Look for the label in their message and note where the chat may have started. People can edit the message, so this is a clue, not a scan counter.

What is a WhatsApp link?

It is a link that opens a chat with your number. You can add a message for the customer to send. They can change that message, and they must press Send themselves.

A QR code opens the same link when someone scans it. For an Indian number, choose India and enter your mobile number. You can also enter the full number starting with +91. Test your link on a phone before you share it.

If you want to make the link yourself, use https://wa.me/COUNTRYCODEANDNUMBER with digits only. This tool adds your message and creates the QR code for you.

Based on WhatsApp’s click-to-chat instructions. Reviewed 19 October 2026. Widox is independent of WhatsApp and Meta.

Questions, answered.

How do I make a WhatsApp link?

Enter your WhatsApp number and a short message. Choose where you will share the link, then select Create links and QR codes. Copy a link for online use or download a QR code for print. Your customer still chooses whether to send the message.

Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?

No. You can use a regular WhatsApp number or a WhatsApp Business number. Choose the right country and test the link on your phone before sharing it.

Will my QR code expire?

The QR code has no Widox expiry date or subscription. It opens a direct WhatsApp link. If you change your number or the message, make and print a new code.

Can I see how many people scanned the QR code?

No. This tool does not count scans or clicks. You can put a different label in the message for your shop, Instagram or packaging. If a customer sends that label, it gives you a clue about where they found you. They can change the message, so the clue is not an exact count.

Does Widox save my number or message?

No. This tool makes the links and QR codes in your browser. It does not upload or save what you type. Files you download include your number and message. When someone opens the link, WhatsApp receives the link details.

Will this send messages for me?

No. It opens a one-to-one chat. The person must press Send. It does not send bulk messages or create group links.

Can Google Analytics count clicks on these links?

This tool does not track link clicks. A direct WhatsApp link also skips your website, so it will not create a website visit in Google Analytics. To measure visits, send people to a page on your site first.
